Prime Minister and UNP Leader Mr Ranil Wickremsinghe announced today that Minister Harin Fernando was given a new role as Communication and Propaganda Secretary for UNP.
This was done as part of the new leadership team which Mr Wickremesinghe has put in place to drive the Party forward.
There were calls for Mr Wickremsinghe so step down amid a battering in Local Council Elections in February as well as surviving a No Confidence Motion in Parliament.
