Sri Lanka gov cremates unclaimed COVID19 dead bodies

Sri Lankan health authorities have cremated all unclaimed dead bodies kept at the Institute of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology in Colombo.

There were 19 unclaimed dead bodies piled up since last week of November as Muslim families had refused to consent cremations.

Fifteen dead bodies were creamated previous occasions and four were left by this morning.

Last four dead bodies were creamated this morning as per the health guidelines, health officials said.
