Sri Lanka crosses 1000 cases of #COVID19 as 28 more tests positive

Sri Lankan health officials confirmed today that total count COVID-19 infections in Sri Lanka surpassed 1,000 on Tuesday (19).

Twenty-eight (28) more persons tested positive for coronavirus as of 6.00 pm, while the cases tally soared to 1,020.

Ten coronavirus patients were discharged from Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH), Iranawila Hospital and Homagama Base Hospital earlier today with tot recoveries now at 569.

The Epidemiology Unit says, 442 active cases are currently under medical care at the IDH Hospital, Welikanda Base Hospital, Colombo East Base Hospital, Iranawila Hospital, Kattankudy Base Hospital, Navy Hospital and Homagama Base Hospital.

Nine coronavirus patients in the country have succumbed to the virus thus far.
