Sri Lanka increases fuel prices to record levels amid shortages crippling the country. The new fuel prices are as follows:
Petrol Octane 92 – Rs. 420 per litre up by Rs 82
Petrol Octane 95 – Rs. 450 per litre up by Rs 77
Auto Diesel – Rs. 400 per litre up by Rs 111
Super Diesel – Rs. 445 per litre by Rs 116
Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekara tweeted that fuel price will be revised from 3am today. The fuel pricing formula that was approved by the cabinet was applied to revise the prices and includes all costs incurred in importing, unloading, distribution to the stations and taxes.
