Sri Lanka Energy minister says that an app is being developed and tested to monitor fuel distribution to motorists.
‘An App developed to monitor vehicles at fuel stations and share real time data with fuel stations islandwide is been tested in multiple locations currently. The application was developed by SL Police IT Dept. Number plate details of the consumers at the pump will be entered’ tweeted Minister Kanchana Wijesekera.
He further stated that the entered data is shared real time with the other app users. ‘Once the number plate is entered, it will notify if the same vehicle has pumped fuel on the same day from any other station and the history of refueling of the vehicle. I thank the IGP and the Police IT Dept.’
