A Facebook video of an Australian tourist harassed by a man ‘wanting to help and guide’ had being viewed by more than 12 million and shared over 15k over past two days.
Dale Philip video shared his video in the hope that other tourists don’t fall prey to the scam where a man try to harass walking tourists asking them to visit a ‘tsunami temple’ and could get ripped off trishaw charges.
Dale who had visited the country many times added in his comments that “this doesn’t represent 1% of Sri Lankans but unfortunately there’s almost a 100% chance a tourist is going to meet one of these people if they are walking around areas such as Colombo Fort.”.
