Why I voted to defeat motion against President- PM clarifies

Sri Lanka Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe who was criticized for voting to defeat a motion against the President issued a clarification later during the day.

Opposition’s attempt to debate the motion expressing displeasure over the President was blocked in Parliament today by the Government with Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe also voted with the Government to defeat the proposal.
